Other information

Transport: As far as possible, all participants arriving by bus, train or plane will be transported to the venue by the organising committee. The Secretary will need your details by 15 June 2006. Please contact her directly with details by e-mail at amesa@ul.ac.za or by fax at (015) 268 2899.

Meals: Lunches from Monday to Thursday are included in the registration fee. Breakfasts are included in the accommodation costs.

Childcare: Childcare facilities will be available.

Funding: A certain amount of funding is available to assist participants who would otherwise be unable to attend Congress. The application form for funding is available on this website, from regional representatives and from the Congress secretary. Applications close on 1 June 2006.

Cancellation: Please note that, once your registration form has been processed, a cancellation fee of 20% of all costs will be charged for cancellations up to 15 June 2006. Thereafter no refunds will be made for cancellation of complete or partial costs.

Equipment for presenters: Data projectors, overhead projectors, computer laboratories and other forms of equipment needed by presenters need to be booked with the Congress secretary. All presenters must please ensure that their requests are with the secretary by 1 June 2006.

Activity centre: A range of activities will be on offer during the congress, with certain focused events at different times, The conference program will provide more details as well as a timetable for these activities.

Weather in Polokwane (or click here for an alternate source): Please remember that it will be winter in Polokwane, usually sunny, but cold to very cold during the evening and at night. For those who feel the cold, an extra blanket and warm clothing would be advisable.
